Setting Sun is a book that discusses the current aging population issue happening in China.
The purpose of this book is to raise awareness of the issue and the changing perspectives of the younger generation on marriage and childbirth. The first part of the book introduces the three birth policies that cause this issue and reflects on the changing opinions of Gen Z women. The second part of the book discusses the decline in factory and rural migrant workers as one of the main consequences of the aging population.

I used staggering type and rules to represent the control under the birth policies and the eagerness to break outside of tradition mindsets. I also used the years progression from 1950 to 2022 as the secondary page numbering to guide the readers from past to present. I also added the birth rate and death rate of each year along with the years count on the side of each page to provide a more direct data visualization
