Noise Lab is a hypothetical live music event at the Nxt Museum by German techno DJ, Stephan Bodzin.

Because sound is an important aspect of new media art, Noise Lab focuses on the physical experience that uses sound as the media to connect the audience with digital art. The sound reactive generative identity is an extension of the identity of the Nxt Museum, and it is used as the interactive audiovisual for the event.

The logotype is designed based on one of the logo typefaces that I designed for the Nxt Museum

Sections in the website include introduction to the event, event calendar, and a page where the audience can listen to each of Stephan Bodzin’s tracks

I used the letter “o” as the music visualization, and designed 5 different sound generative graphics that layer together

I projected the generative graphics and connected it to a motion sensor, Kinect, using code which makes it follow each person that enters the event space. The identity becomes an interactive audiovisual that encourages the audience to engage, and at the same time having their own piece of digital art
